Frequently Asked Questions

1

Who determines whether a child is eligible?

Fit For Change approves organizations to receive donations. The organization's authorized staff, including counselors, social workers,
coaches, athletic directors, and teachers, qualify children based on their direct knowledge of and contact with the youth. There is no income review, no family paperwork, and no documentation required, which keeps the process stigma-free and low-barrier for everyone involved.

2

How does Fit For Change protect privacy?

We never request, receive, or store student/child names, ID numbers, financial records, or any personally identifiable information.
All requests come from authorized staff. We do not interact with the children directly at any point, and the program does not implicate FERPA or Florida student privacy regulations. You know the athletes. We provide the gear.

3

How does fulfillment and delivery work?

Fulfillment is structured around your organization's schedule and athletic programs. Generally, shipments arrive in planned bulk windows aligned to the school's schedule rather than one item at a time per request.

4

Is this a formal partnership?

No. This is strictly an on-demand donation program.

5

Is there any cost to our organization or to our young athletes?

No. There is no cost to the organization and no cost to the child at any point. All gear, fulfillment, and shipping are covered by Fit For Change.

6

What types of gear does Fit For Change provide?

We provide a range of athletic gear including footwear, socks, tops, bottoms, outerwear, and sport-specific equipment. Availability varies based on current inventory, and we work with each school to fulfill requests based on what is available and what students need.
